Empowering Families is excited to bring a new youth program to Scottsbluff called Youth Arise in partnership with Nebraska Extension and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The program teaches youth how to identify a problem or issue in the community they care about, collect data, and propose a solution to address it. The program concludes with a trip to the state capitol in Lincoln, NE to visit with legislators and lawmakers. All program and travel expenses will be covered. Youth Arise builds tomorrow's leaders by giving youth opportunities to engage in critical thinking and problem-solving, teamwork, public speaking, and civic engagement. I've attached a flyer with more information about the program. If you know of any high school students who would benefit from the program, please have them contact me or our fellows cc'd in this email. Below is the registration link if the student wants to register directly (https://go.unl.edu/youtharise). The due date to register will be Wednesday (7/13)https://drive.google.com/file/...
