Summer school is in full swing for 2 more weeks. Many adventures, learning new games, learning the important things (math, reading, etc) and a whole lot of fun!
Summer school is very busy this week. They are reading Hatchet and have created maps of the crash site.
They got to sew marble fidgets, and a ball using the measurement skills that they have learned.
They made fruit pizza as a snack this week as they learned to measure ingredients for the cookies, and frosting along with getting to decorate their own and enjoy.
Our Maintenance crew is hard at work again this summer. They have completed some wall repairs, fresh paint & padding to the weight room. They are also in the process of updating some new & amazing wall pads in the gym.

Congratulations to Justin Van Winkle!
His favorite high school memory is graduating. Justin’s favorite class was Small Engines because he enjoyed the hands-on learning. He says his role model is Mr. Thackeray, who was always kind and inspiring. Justin couldn’t live without money, and his advice to underclassmen is to stay in school and not worry about being cool. If he could move anywhere, he’d go to California just to experience it. One achievement he’s proud of is coming back to school after being kicked out and making up four years of work. The hardest part of senior year has been staying motivated at the end. After high school, Justin plans to go to college for welding.
Congratulations to Dionicio Hernandez!
His favorite high school memory is being in Mr. Thackeray’s classroom. Dionicio’s favorite class was Foods because he enjoys eating. His role model is Spiderman—he’s always wanted to be like him. He says he couldn’t live without music. His advice to underclassmen is simple: take life seriously. If he could move anywhere, it would be Tokyo so he could experience the city. To prove his achievements, Dionicio points to his motivation, his effort, and always stepping up to lead. The hardest part of senior year has been staying on task. After high school, he plans to focus on making money.

Congratulations to Lluvia Calihua Gonzales!
Her favorite high school memory is meeting Mr. Thackeray, and she loved his English II class because it was always full of laughter. Lluvia’s role model is her sister, and she says she couldn’t live without her family and her Justin. Her advice to underclassmen is to be involved and not miss out. The hardest part of senior year for her has been just showing up. After graduation, Lluvia’s goal is to live a happy life.

Summer is coming soon. You may be thinking about what your child will do for meals while school is out. Minatare Public Schools will be having the Summer Food Service Program. It's food that's in, while school is out. There are no income requirements, and any child under the age of 18 may come to eat. Starting May 27th and running through June 27th at Minatare Elementary Gym. Breakfast is served from 7:30-8:00AM and Lunch is served from 11:30-12:30PM Monday through Friday.
