Minatare Elementary's 3rd & 4th graders had the honor of Nebraska's First Lady Suzanne Pillen visit their classroom today! She came and read the book "Right this very minute" a table to farm book. She also talked about agriculture in Nebraska. It was a wonderful experience and honor to have her visit our little school. Thank you so much for the time you spent with us today Suzanne Pillen!!

We enjoyed the event and had fun swimming. It was great to get out of the house and have a good day!
Thank you for hosting!!!
The swimming was a very nice activity well enjoyed by kids and adults. Thank you.
Absolutely loved respite fun day! It was a great experience! The kiddos got to meet other kids while doing so.
Our next event is December 2 in Scottsbluff. The flyer and registration form are attached.
We are excited at the continued increase in respite usage and hope you will continue to refer families who have a child on an IEP or IFSP or even a 504 Plan. I attached our most recent Provider list. We are still looking for providers, especially in Box Butte, Sheridan, Morrill, Cheyenne and Kimball Counties. Many families really enjoy that the kids can participate in activities such as dance, gymnastics and swimming.
Please contact Ms. Tyree-Bowers or Ms. Alvord for more information.

Ms. S's first graders performed a play about a fable they read in class called The Crowded, Noisy House. The moral of the story is, no matter how bad you think you have it, things could always be worse.

**Reminder**
Tomorrow September 19th is picture day for Pre-K- 5th grade. Come dressed in your best with a big smile and bring your picture packet!!

Mrs. Grote's first graders are learning about light. We had fun experimenting to find objects within the classroom that are transparent, translucent and opaque.

To culminate our studies on Native Americans, the students in Mrs. Wurdeman and Mrs. Grote's had Edison Red Nest as a special guest. We learned to sing a Native song, say numbers in the Lakota language and how to play Lacrosse. We have some future Lacrosse stars among us!

The students in Mrs. Grote's class released their butterflies this morning. We were lucky to have one dance around the dandelions before flying away.

Come join us in celebrating the retirement of Mrs. Teresa Shriver on May 18th @ 4:30PM in the Minatare Community Room located on Main Street in downtown Minatare.
