Happy Groundhog Day! For the first time since 2020, Punxsutawney Phil DID NOT see his shadow, signaling an early Spring. Phil is hitting .300 in his predictions over the last decade.

Students at Minatare Elementary School would like to thank our supporters at DonosChoose for funding Mrs. Grote's project "Warm Hands for Everone." This week, elementary students from kindergarten through fifth grade received a new pair of insulated winter gloves to keep their hands warm at recess. We are ready for the next snow storm!

The preschoolers are learning all about Recycling and Trash. Today they went out around the school and made our area a little cleaner! 🗑️♻️

The first graders in Mrs. Grote's class were excited that they filled their BAM Jar so quickly after Christmas break. After the big cold spell, we decided it would be fun to decorate sweater shaped sugar cookies as a reward. Keep up the good behavior 1B.

5th grade Spanish had a fun time with the Christmas Wrapping Challenge!




Minatare One Act received 6th place at districts! Jordyn & Cassiana both received awards for their acting as well. Congratulations on a great season!

The Minatare Elementary Sunshine Committee will be selling Candy Bouquets for Valentines day! Get your orders in by February 6th to the Elementary office. The Sunshine Committee thanks you for all your support!!

Bus will arrive at Main Street Market (Coop) at 9:05AM. Leave time 9:15AM.
Melbeta pickup 9:30AM.
School arrival 9:40AM
All times are dependent on road conditions.
After school times will be regular times.

Due to temperatures and wind today, there will be No School Grades Pre-k through 6. Remote Learning Day Grades 7-12.
10AM Late Start, Tuesday January 16th.

Administration has made a decision to cancel the Afterschool Program for today (Thursday) and tomorrow (Friday) due to the snowy weather and extreme low temperatures. It is always important to us to keep all students and staff safe. Please have other arrangements for your children on these dates for after school. Thank you! Keep safe and warm!!
The 5th Grade students played a game of "Regalos" today. They were placed in groups of 4 and had to wrap one person from the group as best and creative as they could. They were delivered to Mrs. Prochazka, Mrs. Albright, and Mrs. Clarke.


To get into the Holiday Spirit the Afterschool program made some chocolate covered pretzels! 🥨 🎄







Don't forget to bring your shopping money to purchase gifts for your family members at the School Holiday Shop. The shop is open everyday after school from 3:30 to 4:00 PM until December 20th. We have something for everyone! We look forward to seeing you there!!
