What happens when you give 6th graders a stack of straws, a roll of tape, and a ping pong ball? A lesson in real-world engineering!
Today’s 6th grade Science class demonstrated a STEM challenge that pushed our students to build in two groups the tallest tower possible with two tough constraints: hold a ping pong ball at the top, and no tape touching the ball!
Watch what happened behind the scenes:
1️⃣ Prototyping: Turning raw ideas into physical models.
2️⃣ Iteration: Embracing failed attempts to make the structure stronger.
3️⃣ Constraints: Maximizing minimal resources.
4️⃣ Collaboration: Working as a unit to keep those towers standing tall.
Engineers aren't just built in lab coats—they’re built right here! 🛠️ High-fives all around for these amazing builds!

Dear Parent/Guardian:
Minatare Public Schools will be participating in a provisional meal program from USDA for the current school year 2026-2027. By participating in this special program Minatare Public Schools will be able to serve breakfast and lunch meals to all enrolled students at no charge to them.
Studies have shown that children who are not hungry do better in school. By providing breakfast and lunch to all children at no charge, we are hoping to create a better learning environment for our students. The School Meals that we serve follow U.S. Department of Agriculture guidelines for healthy school meals. This Community Eligibility meal program cannot succeed without your support and assistance.
Free and Reduced Price Income Eligibility Applications will not be distributed this year.
Sincerely,
Diana Closson
