On January 8th, several of our FFA members showcased their skills at district contests! Here's how they performed:
🌸 Floriculture Team – 8th Place
Yvonne Kreiling: 19th (Red Ribbon)
Zoe Pedotto: 25th (Red Ribbon)
Saidey Garza: 27th (Red Ribbon)
Yarely Herrera: 51st
📋 Floriculture tests students’ knowledge of floral design, plant identification, plant care, and greenhouse management.
🔧 Welding Team – 14th Place
Jay Peterson: GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) – 3rd (Purple Ribbon)
Jesus Cuellar: SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) – 9th
Bayleigh Lacy: OFW (Oxy-Fuel Welding) – 12th
Aaron Neumann: GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) – 16th
⚙️ Welding evaluates practical skills in various welding techniques, safety, and project execution.
🐄 Livestock Management Team – 19th Place
Team members: Calvin Douglass, Saydee Peterson, Jacelyn Prouty, and Tripton Stec
🐑Livestock Management requires students to complete species-based practicums (beef, dairy, horse, poultry, sheep, and swine) that test their knowledge of nutrition, breeding, herd health, quality assurance, and business management, including marketing and product evaluation.

The Junior High School games for today have been cancelled due to Hyannis having No School.
Minatare VS. Creek Valley @ Creek Valley starting at 5PM with girls basketball, followed by boys basketball.

Break out those "ugly" Christmas sweaters on Monday December 16th and be sure to wear them to the Minatare VS. Arthur game that night.
The MAC Student Advisory will be selling tickets for the Community Give-Back raffle.
Tickets will be on sale December 11th through December 16.
Drawing will be held on 12/16/2024 at the Arthur VS. Minatare Home game.
All proceeds will be donated to the Minatare Booster Club.

Today is the last Junior High wrestling tournament of the season in Mitchell.
Wrestling begins at 1:00PM.

Monday Night, December 9th
Minatare Indians VS. Banner County Wildcats. (Game was previously scheduled for 12-10-24, but was moved due to Banner Co. making it to State One Act). Congratulations to them.
Girls game starts at 4:30pm, followed by boys.
There will be concessions served including Markys Meat Market Stadium Dogs, popcorn, drinks, and candy. Minatare Booster Club will be on site with a yummy Bake Sale.
