🌾 2025 FFA Officer Retreat Recap 🌾 August 7-9, our officer team headed to Fort Robinson for a few days of learning, planning, and exploring! We toured two museums and the stables, taking in the history of the area before heading to Our Heritage Guest Ranch for chapter planning. We were joined by Maile from The Leadership Center, who led us in fun and interactive leadership activities that helped us focus on strengthening our chapter events and making them even better this year. 💡💪 Friday morning, we started our day with a scenic walk at Toadstool Geological Park—a perfect way to reflect on our plans and goals for the year ahead. ✨ Special thanks to Jean at Our Heritage Guest Ranch for her hospitality and to Maile for sharing her time and expertise with us. We’re ready for a great year ahead! 💙💛

As we get ready to start the 2025-2026 school year there are some important dates that you may want to mark on your calendars.

Thursday August 7th: Parent/Athlete Meeting for High School Athletes & Parents starting at 5:30PM in the safe room.
Thursday August 14th: 6th Grade Orientation, 5:30PM at the High School
Thursday August 14th: Open House from 6:00-7:00PM at both the Elementary & High School buildings.

Friday August 15th: First Day of School. Breakfast will be served starting at 7:30AM. Elementary School starts at 7:50AM, High School starts at 8:00AM.

Parents,

This is a reminder that all high school students interested in participating in fall sports are required to have a physical on file before they will be allowed to practice. The first day of Fall Practice is Monday, August 11, 2025.

Football Workouts for the 2025 Season will begin on Wednesday, July 9th from 9:00-10:30AM in the MHS Weight Room.
Workouts will be held every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday running from the same times (9-10:30AM).
We hope to see you there tomorrow.

We had so much fun this week at our Youth Volleyball Camp! All of the girls showed MAJOR improvements and we cannot wait to see their success in their upcoming season. The campers fine tuned their skills and learned proper forms for hitting, serving, passing, setting and all types of footwork. They all worked very hard and the high school helpers had a lot of fun with them.

Summer school is in full swing for 2 more weeks. Many adventures, learning new games, learning the important things (math, reading, etc) and a whole lot of fun! Summer school is very busy this week. They are reading Hatchet and have created maps of the crash site. They got to sew marble fidgets, and a ball using the measurement skills that they have learned. They made fruit pizza as a snack this week as they learned to measure ingredients for the cookies, and frosting along with getting to decorate their own and enjoy.

Our Maintenance crew is hard at work again this summer. They have completed some wall repairs, fresh paint & padding to the weight room. They are also in the process of updating some new & amazing wall pads in the gym. Thank you to our crew for working so hard on these updates.
