Minatare FFA had three members compete in Leadership Development Events, or LDEs. LDEs are mostly focused on some form of public speaking.
Yvonne Kreiling competed in Natural Resources Speaking, where competitors prepare a six to eight minute speech about a topic relating to ag and natural resources and present their speech to judges and answer any questions the judges have. Yvonne wrote a speech about saving pollinators, and she placed 4th and is an alternate for state!!
Bayleigh Lacy and Aaron Neumann competed in Employment Skills, where they submit a cover letter, resume, references, complete and application, interview, and write a follow-up thank you letter. Bayleigh received a red ribbon, and Aaron received a white ribbon. Both represented Minatare well!
Also, thank you to Jana Schwartz and Sheri Woodworth for judging!

DIa de los Muertos in our Spanish classes:
Elementary students 2nd - 5th have been working on mason jar velas (candles) and wind chimes.
Spanish I and II students have been working on shoebox ofrendas, creating tissue paper marigolds, and clay model sugar skulls.
Dia de los Muertos is Nov 1st and 2nd, but in the USA it starts on October 31st and ends Nov 2nd. This is a day to celebrate and remember our loved ones who have passed.
Mr. Guadarrama and all of these talented students did a great job.
